Offshore Fishing in Key West

When you fish in Key West you have choices offshore and inshore (flats fishing). To the south is the Atlantic Ocean, which offers reef fishing for a variety of species such as Snapper, Grouper, and may other types of fish. Out past the reefs of Key West you can troll for Dolphin, Wahoo, Tuna, as well as Sailfish.

When we go fishing offshore we use our 31 foot Contender equipped with twin Mercury 300hp Verados.  The Contender has a complete electronics package with GPS, Chartplotter, Fish Finder, and VHF radio and live wells for live baits.

Inshore and Flats Fishing in Key West

There is lots of shallow water around Key West. The north side of the Island offers shallow water and many islands surrounded by flats where we fish for Tarpon, Bone Fish, Permit and other species. About 15 miles west of Key West are the Marquesas Islands, which offer excellent flats fishing.
